All of our products that come into contact with food are treated with food grade mineral oil and beeswax. This is an all natural, non toxic process. The mineral oil seasons the wood. The beeswax seals the wood and acts as a protective layer between wood and water. Applying a butcher block conditioner frequently will increase the longevity of your food contact product.
